Superb and wonderful 1860s Civil War albumen cdv of US Navy sailor Hiram Peck by photographers Joslyn, Smith, & Co. There is a partial 2 cent "Black Jack" stamp on reverse and the period pencil inscription, Hiram Peck to be sent to USS Marmora by Cairo. The paddle steamer USS Marmora was built at Monogahela, Pennsylvania and was part of the Mississippi Squadron and saw much action on the Yazoo River and the Battle of Fort Hindman in Arkansas.

Guaranteed to be an ORIGINAL 1860s albumen cdv of Hiram Peck, US Navy. This is LESS than cost, and for rare items it is well worth it. I NEVER sell reprints or repros.
