This nice 1/6 plate ruby ambrotype features a young bearded Union captain posing in the photographers studio. He wears his frock coat fully buttoned and his captains bars are visible upon his shoulders. There is quite a bit of solarization framing the captain, as shown. He comes is a leather half case.
