Antique Civil War Era Photo 1/9 Ambrotype Soldier in Hardy Hat w/ Rifle Used. Great Civil War Period Photograph.

Type: Clear Glass ambrotype photograph, blacked on the image side. Comes in brass mat, preserver and protective glass.

Subject: Union Infantry Soldier with his bayonet-affixed rifle and Hardy style hat. Images come in a worn leather case. Nice Addition to Any Military Photograph Collection! Please Note: We have recently acquired a large collection of Civil War Images, 19th Century Thermoplastic "Union" and other Cases, and other various 19th Century Images.

Unusually, the glass plate was lacquered and then re-blacked on the image side (not sure as to why). Very light wear on the glass itself. Brass mat and preserver show light patina. Case is worn and has a repaired spine.
