RARE Original Cased Antique Civil War Photograph Soldier Sword Uniform Tintype. Fresh out of a local estate is this cased photograph of a Civil War soldier. I honestly don't know if he is union or confederate but I would assume union. He is a handsome bearded fellow holding his sword and scabbard in front of I believe a painted backdrop of a cannon with a flag. No history on the soldier, I asked family they didn't know.

The plate measures 3 7/8" by 2 5/8" plus the case. Please see the multiple photos as it was a real pain to try to get a picture.

In person it is easily seen and has a nice luster. There is a light craquellure to the photo but is noticeable when held against a raking light. The case is gutta percha and in overall good condition.
