Original 1/6 daguerreotype of a young man wearing an unusual shirt with three rows of buttons. I think he might have been a sailor - what do you think?

Dag is housed in its original case, with original seals intact! The underside of the glass is dirty, however, I examined the image under magnification and besides light tarnish, the plate appears to be pristine and without any sort of damage whatsoever. Double hook clasp case is complete and intact with no repairs.
