The other image shows a vintage Carte de Visite (CDV) photograph, likely dating from the 1860s, featuring a portrait of an elderly man (white hair). Based on similar historical portraits, the man in the image resembles figures such as industrialist Erastus Corning or religious leader John Taylor. This would be a fun project for the new owner to research.
Jewelry: in regards stone content or metal purity beyond stated testing or overall valuation please use pics to make your best judgment. Vintage and/or antique costume jewelry, due to their age, can have parts that don't work as well or mechanisms that aren't as tight. I will do my best to note these issues in the description. My testing is limited to basic precious metal and gemstone verification using identifying makers marks when available. My post office is not open on weekends.
