CIVIL WAR PERIOD TINTYPE - 1/6 PLATE SOLDIER IN VETERANS RESERVE CORP. UNIFORM - You are considering a period copy of a sixth plate tintype of a Civil War soldier who belonged to the Veteran Reserve Corp. They wore light blue jackets with twelve buttons, dark trim and sky blue trousers. Good luck to the winner. The sixth plate tintype has excellent contrast, tonal range and superb sharpness for a copy image. Note: the pins or nails holding the original tintype to the wall so the photographer could copy this image. The twelve buttons on his jacket also received some gilding. Warm toned tinting added to his face.
