Ninth plate ambrotype young Civil War Confederate soldier with hat brass

  

Nice 9th plate clear glass ambrotype in a half case showing a young Civil War confederate soldier with hat brass. Looking through the back of the image it looks like the hat says "A" and "42" under that. I can't make out the collar insignia. Image has age to it for sure, but it is still clear and cheaper than most rebel images.
