Original Civil War CDV Photo Elmer Ellsworth 1st Union Officer Killed Alexandria. This is an original CDV of Elmer Ellsworth whose story is well known. The card has a brownish tint and several stains on the front and back (clearly seen in the photos). The photo is by "Gurney and Son".

The story printed on the back is interesting and lends credibility to his sacrifice at the start of the civil war. I did not attempt to erase them. Please examine the photos in detail for condition of the card. The card measures 2.5" x 4" and is a heavy card stock.
