The historic newspaper is framed in a antique Oak wood frame, The frame is from the 1880's with original glass from the same time period with slight waves and tiny pulled bubbles in the glass, the frame is held together with screws that look to be hand made, the frame dose show light wear from age with a 1 piece of scrolling missing on one side. The history about this newspaper is not very long, I had found this at a local estate sale and when asked about the history, all the elderly gentleman had to say was he always remembered seeing it hanging in his father's study in Pennsylvania and that he believed none of the names on the newspaper had any connection to his family. I did post this to a decision board and had two expert's take a look at it and found that this June 27th 1863 Wallpaper issue is 100% authentic. Size: The framed newspaper is: 13.5" x 20.5".
