Civil War CDV Union Lt Charles Sanders 48th & 57th Mass Vols

  
Residence Salem MA; a 20 year-old Student. Enlisted on 9/11/1862 as a 2nd Lieutenant. On 9/19/1862 he was commissioned into "E" Co. He was discharged for disability on 6/26/1863.

On 5/1/1864 he was commissioned into Unassigned MA 57th Infantry. He was discharged (date not stated).
