TTad Lincoln was the son of President Abraham Lincoln and the President's favorite during the White House years- he even was given an honorary commission as a Civil War officer. During the War Matthew Brady's National Portrait Gallery photographed him in his uniform. An original circa 1860s -1890s era albumen photograph of Tad in uniform, one hand on his sword, enlarged from the Civil War Brady image. Approx 10 x 6.25 with age stains, and left margin edge trimmed. This is the first 19th century image of Tad in uniform I have had in decades. General Orders and other imprints.
