1864 CDV of a young African American girl. This was recently part of a small collection of rare Civil War era African American photos that included slaves and freed slaves - I wonder if this girl was an emancipated or escaped slave? It's a possibility, though she is not identified here. Slightly trimmed to a little bit under 4" x 2.5", otherwise very good antique condition. The back is blank, as produced.
