CDV Photo Intense Looking Civil War Soldier / Officer Unusual Patriotic

  

Original CDV of a soldier. The mount is 4" x 2.5" and there is what I assume is a blank albumen affixed to that, and in the middle, a 1.5" x 1.25" albumen image of the soldier. It makes me wonder if there is another image underneath the soldier's.. The left edge slightly lifts up but I can't see anything and don't want to force it.
