CIVIL WAR 1/4 PLATE TINTYPE UNION SOLDIER. ARMED ARMY NYS NEW YORK STATE.

1/4 PLATE UNION SOLDIER TINTYPE. Great antique Civil War tintype of a young soldier in uniform.. It is in a 1/2 case , leather covered with nice matte in gold.. The union soldier wears a NYS (NEW YORK STATE) belt buckle and has what I believe to be a army issue colt revolver tucked in his waistband.. His kepi hat is held in his lap, and it has a "C" insignia for the regiment or battalion??

Lightly tinted cheeks , with piercing pale blue eyes. CONDITION: Please view my gallery of photos for a more precise indication of what the items look like.. No dents or major scratches, although some minor surface rubs and scratches are seen... Very clear image the small specks that are in the closeups are dust particles. We are auctioning this with.
