This is my most prized Civil War item from my small collection. It is a small leather-bound tintype (photo) album measuring 1-3/4" square, 3/4" deep.
Embossed leather covers, the spine is printed with "RECKONER" but hard to read, embossed brass fastener holds it closed. It holds 22 little tintypes, including what is believed to be a picture of the Union soldier it belonged to. Also includes a tribute picture of U. This was found near Gettysburg, I don't think it was recovered from the battlefield though. Ask me anything you like.
