It's possible all 3 portray soldiers (and one officer) from Pennsylvania regiments. This unit was mustered in Pittsburgh and most were trained and raised in the Pittsburgh area.

They did most their fighting in Tennessee. Written in gold around bottom is Photographed by Purviance, Cor.

Pittsburgh, Pa" Actual oval photo measures 7.5" height & almost 5.5 width. Square border measures 10" x 8". Condition is good - some wear/ tearing at bottom edge (see 3rd pic), slight creasing and spotting/age stains on the back (see last pic). Also some light spotting on surface of photo.
