Lt Alexander W Hoffman served with the 10th US Infantry on the Dakota Frontier & at Forts Ridgely & Fort Snelling, Minnesota after graduating West Point May 1865. An original chestview photo of Hoffman in West Point cadet uniform, taken by Matthew Brady Studio at graduation, West Point, 1865. The 8 x 10 mat bears the Brady imprint. 1865 was the only year that Brady photographed the West Point graduates. NOTE: Any repair to a paper item is listed.
