Published Civil War Confederate Officer's Ambrotype Photo

  
As we are not experts on antique images we are relying on the author's description and of your evaluation of the photos as to condition. As stated in Matt Bollinger's Book, this is a Ninth Plate Ambrotype of a Confederate Lieutenant from the state of North Carolina.

His last name is Conley which came from an accompanying image but his first name has unfortunately been lost. He wears a classic North Carolina officers uniform jacket with a federal pattern rank and insignia. He also dons a confederate style kepi. He holds a small pocket revolver and has a very elaborately decorated knife in his belt.

This image is shown on page 23 of Bollinger's book (see photo). Confederate Officer's images are more rare. Confederate Officer's images that are armed are even more rare. Confederate Officer's images that are double armed are extremely rare and Published Confederate Officer's images, well it doesn't get any better than that. If you can only own one, this is it.
