THOMAS BRADY PHOTO CDV 1863. MAJOR GENERAL GEORGE HENRY THOMAS b. 1870 American general in the Union Army during the Civil War and one of the principal commanders in the Western Theater. Thomas is generally considered the most underrated of all Civil War Generals from either side.

There are a number of reasons for this: the single most significant is that he spent his entire career in the Western Theater of the War, which received very little press coverage in the major eastern cities. Although he was almost entirely successful throughout the War, he earned the nickname of "Rock of Chickamauga" for saving the Union Forces in that battle. PERIOD ID'D ON THE REVERSE. CONDITION IS EXTREMELY FINE WITH. VERY SHARP FOCUS AND VERY FINE CONTRAST.

DIMENSIONS: 2 3/8" x 3 15/16". THIS IS NOT A COPY OR REPRODUCTION.
