This is a fantastic sixth plate ambrotype in a half case showing a young soldier who was a member of Company I, of the 11th New Hampshire volunteers. You can see all the insignia on his cap. This unit was heavily engaged at Fredericksburg, The Wilderness, and Spotsylvania Court House. Image is not fully exposed at the bottom where his hands are, but great image of a hard fought unit..
