Type: Ambrotype on Clear Glass with Dean & Emerson Patriotic brass mat, protective glass, and preserver. Subject: Unidentified Very Young Union Soldier, Ethnic descent, possibly African American. Appears to be a Private. Sits in uniform, Large knife clipped on belt with nicely visible US buckle.

Case: Thermoplastic, Union Forever (Berg 1-128 Scarce). Fantastic Addition to Any Photograph and/or Civil War Collection!

Please Note: We have recently acquired a large collection of Civil War Images, 19th Century Thermoplastic "Union" and other Cases, and other various 19th Century Images. Image shows some mild spotting and light scratching, but clarity is nice and the subject is largely unaffected. Brass mat shows moderate patina. Case has some heavy warping on the bottom corner and some mild chipping along the edges. Hinges are loose but are holding.
