The acid free sticker on the reverse of this photo was part of the previous owners collection and catalog system. Up for sale is an 1860's Antique Framed & Mounted set of 2 Tintype Photos.
These photos have been professionally framed following Archival Standards and Guidelines from the Library of Congress, to include museum glass and acid free matte and backer board. According to the original collector, one of the brothers was killed in the war. They also stated the subjects in the photos are identified on the reverse.Given this piece is professionally framed, I have not disturbed or tried to open the frame. Approximate Measurements of Frame is 10 x 6 inches. Approximate Measurement of Tintype is : 2 3/8 x 3 1/2. The frame is in excellent condition with no scratches or damage. The photos have some signs of age including scratches, smudges, and light bends.
