1/2 plate Ruby Ambrotype of Civil War Confederate Soldier Triple Armed Bowie

  

Original 1/2 plate ruby glass ambrotype of a Civil War. Confederate soldier holding a carbine by his side wearing a McElroy Bowie knife at his left side, ammo pouch and typical Confederate cap pouch at his right side. A Colt is stuck in th front of his belt. He holds his slouch hat in his left hand. I had glare when taking pictures.

It's a rare honest image. Housed in a very nice full leather case. Aging discoloration as can be seen in photos, but not effecting any important parts of the image. No identification, but was found in Marietta GA and has a newspaper clip discussing the General being stolen , spies and the Western Atlantic Railroad. This 1/2 plate size is very rare and commanding high prices.
