The reverse is pencil inscribed Capt. Phillips The photo came with a group of CDV photos of men of the 31st Iowa Volunteer Infantry on muster out at Louisville in 1865 and the reverse bears the imprint of by Campbell & Ecker, Louisville, Kentucky.
