Civil War Soldier Tintype Tin Type Named Gatha Bishop Kentucky Co B, 14 Infantry

  

His name was Gatha Bishop. The viewable area of the tintype measures 2.5" x 2". The case that the tintype is in shows heavy wear and the top is separated from the bottom.

Included with the tintype is a copy of Gatha Bishop's Company Muster Roll dated 1864 from Co B, 14 Reg't Kentucky Infantry, this shows he was sick in bed at a hospital in Ashland Ky. Next is a copy of card numbers for Co B, 14 Kentucky Inf as it has his name and also marked as Private & Musician. And last is a copy of the order for copies of Veterans records and it has him as serving in the Civil War with his date of birth being Apr 2, 1827 and his death Mar 25, 1891. These pieces of paperwork are copies and not originals that the family had made.
