Dug Civil War Camp Relics c. 1860s Wartrace, TN goldplate buckles buttons PHOTO. Really nice display, an 18"X12" X2 wood/glass case, weights 5-1/2 lbs. With several items my late father (Frank "Tommy" Pitts) dug with his metal detector in Bedford county Tennessee where civil war camps were known to be.There is a rifle lock, Infantry buttons, buckle cover, some rusty tools... A couple of things were not dug and they are unique: a photograph, not sure when it was made but there is a cannon behind the guy, and some hardtack pieces (they are black in the blue container) dad found somehow that the civil war soldiers would eat when food was short, this is very rare. Check my other auctions of similar items from my father's collection, not much is left, this is the last of it. I looked at the gold frame closely and it appears to be solid gold, and weighs 1.1 gm.
