Civil War 1/6th Plate Tintype of Armed Infantryman with Musket

  

Civil War 6th Plate Tintype of an armed Infantryman with Musket. The first three images are with flash giving it a lighter tone. The 4th image that is darkest is actually truest to it's tone. Inside the image is a piece of paper with the name I believe to be Albert Colburn. There are four Albert Colburn's in the Civil War Data Base.

Two from Massachusetts and one from Wisconsin but are younger of age. Where there is one that enlisted at 33 with the 114th New York from 1862 to 1865 and was wounded at Winchester, Virginia 09/19/1864. The image comes in a complete case with a taped spine. Again, I want to make clear, this is an excellent image in so many ways with a classic look of the Veteran's eyes. But it is a dark image.
