This is a Georgia cavalry soldier and wearing this rare bowie. The trader article is attributing to McElroy made items. Having a soldier pictured with one of these bowies is rarely encountered.

Housed in a very nice full leather case. Aging discoloration as can be seen in photos, the image is weak in the shoulder areas but not effecting any important parts of this rare image.

No identification, but was found in Marietta GA and has a newspaper clip of Gov. Brown, discussing the CS Govt taking the Western Atlantic Railroad equipment that belongs to the state of Georgia. Any confederate 1/2 plate size ruby image is scarce. The McElroy Bowie is clear on his side.
