Up for sale is an incredibly rare, historically significant original photograph capturing four ultra-late surviving Civil War veterans on Memorial Day, May 31, 1937. By the late 1930s, only a tiny fraction of Civil War veterans remained alive, making documented images from this exact window exceptionally scarce.

The reverse side features crisp period ink and pencil notations identifying the location as Woodlawn Cemetery and listing the surnames of the four seated veterans: Claflin, Kinney, Coombs, and Burns. The standing officer on the right is identified as G.
