Union Civil War Cavalry Soldier Horse Saddle Tintype Image Leather Cased

  

Up for your consideration is this wonderful tintype image of an unknown Union Cavalry trooper from the American Civil War. I'm always amazed at how still these riders get these horses to pose. It is an excellent study of saddle, saddlebags and harness and informal uniform. The case is missing the cover but the gold frame and glass are in perfect condition. It is a large image measuring 5 and 1/2 by 4 inches.
