Original CDV of Sergeant James H. Kelly, identified on the back in period pencil.
His CDV was originally in an album with quite a few other ID'd Ohio Infantry soldiers, many or most identified by this same handwriting on the back. The writing on the back reads: This is James H. Kelly, one of our Sergents, he is our Quartermaster sergent. Kelly, who was born in Ireland in 1836, wounded at Gettysburg, dying from his wounds on July 7, 1863, and buried at St. John's Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.. CDV is 4" x 2.5" and in very good or better antique condition. Visit my other store for more Civil War photos. See the last image in this listing for info.
