CIVIL War Bemidgi Minnesota Veteran Reunion Photo

  
An Original Photo of 6 or so Civil War veterans, 4 appear to wearing badges or ribbons, and posed alongside a mounted 12 pdr cannon attached to a caisson, at the head of a parade of other old men, with a number of American flags and other banners taken on a wide, tree-lined expanse, and what appears to be a parade reviewing stand partially visible on the right of the image. The approx 6.5 x 5" image has a reflective sheen is mounted on a dark gray 9 x 7" mat and appears to date circa 1900. The reverse of the image has a pencil inscription "GAR Encampment Bemidgi Minn".

There is no indication of a photographers mark. Bemidgi did have a number of veterans who settled there postwar, many from Minnesota units, and had a fair number of veterans living in Minnesota at the turn of the century.
