CIVIL WAR G. A. R. VETERAN SHOWING OFF ZOUAVE UNIFORM & RIFLE With BAYONET
THIS CAME OUT OF PENNA. SO HE WAS PROBABLY IN ONE OF THE UNITS COMMON TO WESTERN PENNA. HE APPARENTLY KEPT ALL HIS CIVIL WAR UNIFORM MEMORABILIA BECAUSE EVEN BOOTS LOOK PERIOD. YOU USUALLY SEE THESE AS CHARCOALS MADE FROM TIN TYPES OF THE PERIOD BUT THIS IS A PHOTOGRAPH OF THE OLD SOLDIER. I HAVE BEEN INTERESTED IN CHARCOALS FOR YEARS AND HAVE HAD MANY BUT HAVE NEVER SEEN AN IMAGE LARGE LIKE THIS OF A ZOUAVE FASHIONED SOLDIER - VERY UNUSUAL IMAGE. The item "CIVIL WAR G.
