The image is a full view of what looks to be an American Indian. The soldier is wearing a Union issued shell jack / sack coat. The soldier is holding his kepi with Infantry horn insignia. The photo is back marked ALEXANDRIA VA.

The image is in fair condition...... Some wear on the edges with light staining.
