Original sixth-plate ambrotype in full case. This is a clear glass ambrotype with a blank 1/6 tintype sheet behind it to bring the image out.

Ambrotype is behind mat and cover glass. In very good antique antique condition overall.

There is that spot in the background and another. Smaller one on his hand, otherwise looks excellent. The case covers are separated along the spine.
