Civil War Union Soldier CDV Portrait of Infantryman & Hardy Hat Identified
Identified as Arthur Brazee, which I believe to be a Union soldier from Wisconsin. This is a Carte de Visite (CDV), which is French for visiting card. These small photo cards were commonly traded and collected by people in the 19th century; most popular in the 1860s. Standard-size card, measuring about 2.5 x 4.1 inches (6.3 x 10.5 cm).
