Rare id'd 1/4 plate tintype of a 3rd New Jersey Cavalry aka Butterflies Trooper. Image is housed in a full thermoplastic case.Inside the case is a note regarding the image which says unidentified. When I removed the image to scan it I found the name Sally Clayton scratched into the brass protector.
