Civil War Photo 1/9th Tintype Solider Armed with Marston Revolver in Union Case Used. Awesome Civil War Period Photograph. Type: Ferrotype aka Tintype with brass preserver and protective glass. Subject: Tough looking soldier sits proudly displaying his Marston Revolver. Case: Thermoplastic, Geometric (Berg 3-318 Common). Fantastic Addition to Any Photograph and/or Civil War Collection! Please Note: We have recently acquired a large collection of Civil War Images, 19th Century Thermoplastic "Union" and other Cases, and other various 19th Century Images. Image shows moderate scratching throughout and moderate spots of loss on the corners.

Subject is largely unaffected with exception to some light wear on his head. Glass has a mild scratch.

Preserver shows typical bending and light patina. Case is in very good condition, very light exterior wear and minor fleabite chips along the edges. Hinges are in good shape, clasp does not function.
