He had stored all the images inside Ultra Pro archival safe sleeves and they are contained inside a three ring binder. I usually break these down and sell them individually or in small groupings, but have decided to sell it as I bought it. The images vary in condition, with some in excellent condition and a few in poor. Majority are in very good condition with typical wear to the surface, edges and corners and soiling or foxing.

A few are signed in period ink, or have period writing on them. I noted some photographer's marks such as. BRADY, ADDIS, THE LOUISVILLE GALLERY, BOGARDUS, DEXTER, SHERWOOD. And a large a large. All the images are original Civil War period images.

Various condition on the lot with some of the CDVs showing heavier wear, while the majority are in typical to very good condition. A few were trimmed or had been removed from a period scrapbook. Some of the tins show flaking, or scratches. One of the tins shows heavy bends (CDV sized tin) a few are darker. The tins show a glare from the sleeves when the pictures were taken.

I've been listing from several hundred images of Civil War Generals & staff. Most are from famed photographers and some are signed and autographed.
