We've had a lot of Civil War photos over the years but none like this. It's an oval photo of a boy, who appears to be about 15 or 16 years old, with a rifle and a Civil War hat with a feather. The photo is glued to card stock approximately the size of a CDV 4 1/16 x 2 7/16. We found this type of presentation online in other Civil War photos. The photo is in very good condition with just a few black spots near the top.

The card stock is in good condition with a couple of small bumps to the periphery of the stock. This is a rare and very compelling photo.
