Original Civil War CDV AFRICAN AMERICAN CHILD-Frederick Maryland backing-Slave State Photo (Very Rare). The very young child is encased in a beautiful rice paper sleeve with ornate trim surrounding his portrait. There is soiling on the back and on the obverse.

The obverse soiling is very minor however the reverse as shown in the photographs, is present. This does not affect the young freedman's child's portrait. Rarity is from the slave state of Maryland. The back Mark is easily visible and quite legible. The borders are straight and The image itself is clear and easily visible. This CDV Photo still presents very well.
