Civil War CDV of Union General Joseph K. Mansfield, Killed at Battle of Antietam

  

An excellent CDV of Union Major General Joseph K. Mansfield, commander of the Army of the Potomac's XII Corps when he was killed in action at the Battle of Antietam in 1862.

The carte measures about 2 1/2" x 4". On the reverse are modern pencil notations, along with the early backmark of E.
