It is bound in red colored, cloth covers with bright gold-colored, impressed lettering and extensive design work on the cover and spine. The exterior is clean and the gold lettering is bright. The book has no bumping, but has light rubbing and edge wear. The interior is clean and pages are in excellent condition. The book is free of any writing, foxing, stamps, pasteboards or other markings.

It is not an ex-library book. There is a large, full color, photo image of a Civil War soldier on the front, inside cover as shown. The book has solid binding throughout.
