Beautiful example of a handmade Civil War period (about 1859) type Bowie. Blade carbon steel with a professional period correct patina. Razor sharp, keeps edge very well.

No markings on the blade. Real black buffalo horn, coffin type handle, with a very fine checkering. German silver guard and bolster. This Bowie comes with an also handmade, very solid black leather scabbard. The scabbard has a German silver throat and a German silver tip (chape).
