Original Civil War carte-de-visite photo of George B. Dandy, who served as Colonel of the 100th New York Infantry from August, 1862 until August, 1865. On the reverse of the card, Colonel Dandy has written Capt. Worden with compliments of Col.

Colonel Dandy was breveted Brigadier General at war's end. The 100th New York Infantry was a hard fought regiment, having lost 137 killed or wounded and 14 missing at Fort Wagner in Jul;y of 1863, 81 killed or wounded and 138 captured at Drewry's Bluff, in May of 1864, and 19 killed or wounded at Fort Gregg in April, 1865. Image size about 2 1/2" x 4". Very nice condition, though a little scuffing on the back, not effecting the inscription. The item "CDV photo of Civil War Colonel George B.
