Awesome and Very Rare 1/4 Plate Tintype Photo of 4 Officers including 1st Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant, Colonel, Sergeant and African American Boy taken Outdoors at a Civil War Field Camp c. Photo is encased in a very nice brass matte, cover glass and preserver and presented in a 1/4 Plate Geometric Scroll Union Case measuring 3 7/8" x 4 7/8". Case is in very good to excellent condition with only two tiny corner chips and a hairline at one hinge. The case snaps closed and the hinges are tight. This Awesome photo would look great presented in a Union Case with a Patriotic Civil War Design! The attached period piece of paper on the back of photo reads "Lizzie Jones Picture" and the people I bought it from mentioned the name Chester Kitchen, perhaps that is the person from whom they had acquired the photo although I'm not sure.
