Here we offer a Civil War-era CDV photograph of President Abraham Lincoln, framed in a period 19th century Prussian blue velvet mourning frame. The CDV is from the iconic February 9, 1864 Anthony Berger session. I can't relate any markings or clipping to the CDV as the chromium-plated tin frame has a tab broken off and I don't want to dismantle it for fear of breaking another tab. The wire stand/hanger on the back of the frame has been neatly repaired. These lightweight frames were not meant to hold glass. Measures approximately 5 x 4-inches. This remarkable Civil War era relic will make a wonderful addition to your collection or a very thoughtful gift for an enthusiast.
