1/8 Plate Civil War Tintype Grinning Yankee Armed with Pistols Leather Case

  

This nice 1/8 plate tintype features a proud Yankee with a bit of a grin on his bearded face. He stands in the photographers studio wearing his wide-brimmed hat, shell jacket, and belt with round tinted plate. A large holstered revolver rests on one hip, while a smaller pistol is tucked into the belt.

The image is a bit on the darker side, but is in good shape otherwise. It comes in a full leather case with repaired hinge.

One of the two hook-and-eye closures is missing, but the remaining one gets the job done. Please see my other items for more interesting and original Civil War pieces.
