Antique Framed Tintype Photo Civil War Farm House AFRICAN SLAVE NANNY, Men, Baby

  
Tintype photo shows an African American black Americana slave Nanny woman, standing near doorway, there's 3 men scattered about, with oldest man in the front yard, probably the grandfather holding his grandchild baby. There is paper inside the backside taped to back of tintype, where a previous owner apparently took this item to a photographer to have this tintype photographed. Writing on paper reads: Johnson #40 5084C Younkers Photo Reflex Studio 4th Floor West. This studio was operating into the 1950's and was located in Des Moines, Iowa.

This frame measures approximately 12 1/8 x 10 1/8 inches. The paper matted half-plate tintype itself has some crackling and measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/8 inches. Be sure to add me to your favorites list! Check out my other items!
